Our Latin Street Food Fiesta is coming up this Sunday, September 15th!
We have had some very special events and dinners, but this one looks like it will be our biggest one yet, with food and drink, art, music, poetry, and goodies to give away to guests!
We are collaborating with the Albuquerque Museum, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, performance poets Jasmine Sena Cuffee and Damien Flores, Duke’s Car Club, and others to create interactive, multimedia celebration that brings East L.A. Latin flavor to the Farm & Table patio, the shops of La Parada and the Sol Harvest field.
- Wander the patio and explore street food-style carts on the Farm & Table. Chef Jaye, guest Chef Philip Beltran and their teams have ten courses of tantalizing tastings inspired by the Latin street food of East L.A. to sample. Wash it all down with a Cervecería Mexicana craft beer or a house-made agave wine margarita!
-
Enjoy a slideshow of Estampas de la Raza, a very special collection of screenprints currently on display at the Albuquerque Museum. This larger-than-life and brilliantly colored exhibit is a survey of Latino and Chicano printmakers from the late 1960s to today, on loan from the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas. With depictions of Che Guevara, Frida Kahlo, lowriders, pachucos, tacos, tattoos, and the Virgin of Guadalupe, these prints provide an introduction to the richness and diversity of Latino culture, along with its growing influence on contemporary life in the United States.
-
See spoken-word poetry from the distinguished Albuquerque poets Jasmine Sena Cuffee and Damien Flores. For a teaser, check out one of Cuffee’s performances here.
-
Take your picture with a lowrider in the Sol Harvest field! Five of these distinctive beauties will be on loan to us from the Duke’s Car Club.
-
Listen to music from DJ and Emcee Joseph Wasson, plus a live mariachi band.
-
And more!
There are still spaces left for this very special event – we hope you will join us!
