Taste the History of Chocolate IV
Guest Chocolate Maker, Steve Prickett of Eldora Chocolate
Guest of Honor Dr. Patricia Crown
January 20 | 6pm | $93 | $118 with wine pairings

Did you know that in 2009, a group of archeologists at the University of New Mexico led by Dr. Patricia Crown found traces of cacao in several drinking vessels in an excavation of Pueblo Bonito at Chaco Canyon?  These findings revealed that Natives in our area were drinking ceremonial cacao through trade with Mesoamericans from over 1,200 miles away and more than 1,000 years ago!

This important link will be celebrated in a collaboration with chocolate makers at Eldora Chocolate which will result in a unique and exquisitely delicious five-course dinner that will feature an element of cacao in every dish. Founder of Eldora Chocolate, Steve Prickett will speak  his process in “bean to bar” chocolate making. Please join us for this wonderful dinner in celebration of New Mexico’s chocolate history!
