Dee Sanchez: Farm & Table Featured Artist
WHAT: See the beautiful work of Dee Sanchez during regular restaurant hours at Farm & Table. Dee is a plein air and studio painter who explores the New Mexico landscape in a vibrant, colorful alla prima style. She lives and works in the village of Alameda, New Mexico.

Sarah Schoen: La Parada Featured Artist
WHAT: Sarah has completed a series of print work specifically for Women & Creativity. Inspired by local produce, Sarah’s prints originated from sketches, and have been transformed into monotypes and copper etchings. Born and raised in Taos, New Mexico, Sarah is a Sol Harvest volunteer and has also worked at Farm & Table since its inception.

Farm & Table’s 2nd Birthday Dinner with Guest Chef Cathy Whims
WHAT: Albuquerque meets Portland in an exciting collaborative dinner. Cathy Whims, a five-time James Beard award finalist, and executive chef of Portland’s Nostrana, will be joining Chef Sean and the Farm & Table team to create a memorable culinary experience. Wines will be featured from Chehalem Wines in Oregon and Milagro Vineyards in New Mexico. Please make plans to join us for this very special event.

Seed Song at Sol Harvest Farm
WHAT: Spring is a time for planting seeds. Aimee Conlee, certified in Sound, Voice and Music Healing, will lead this workshop which will introduce various seed syllables and sound exercises with an emphasis on the intentions offered behind the sound. The group will plant physical seeds in the Sol Harvest Farmseed dome while offering their intentions and sounds. As a part of the workshop, each participant will take home a seedling to be nurtured and then harvested later in the season.

For one night only, join Chef Jaye Wilkinson, Chef Kim Muller, Wine Curator Amy Haas, Brewer Kaylynn McKnight and Pastry Chef Tracy Johnson as they create a meal to remember from ingredients sourced from local women farmers and food artisans. From Plow to Pantry: How to Plan (and Preserve) Your Garden Harvest
WHAT: So, you’ve tilled your soil and purchased your seeds. Now, what’s your plan? As a gardener, you know that there is only so much fresh produce a household can actually consume. Teresa Valverde, a “backyard farmer” with over 30 years of practical experience, will help you create a plan for planting, harvesting, and then preserving all those abundant goodies that come out of your garden. Drying, canning, freezing, and other clever tips will be discussed. Demonstration and food tastings will be provided.
