Sanchez is a printmaker who utilizes a process called the mezzotint to create dark and evocative abstract images. “Nature is my inspiration,” says Sanchez; her prints are based on organic forms reinterpreted by Sanchez to create works of art which, as she puts it, “accentuate[s] the sensual and spiritual characteristics and draw out the beauty from the ordinary.”
